Tekbilek, who is widely revered as the guru of new world and Sufi music, had the opportunity to display his wares on ney (bamboo flute), zurna (Middle Eastern oboe), the baglama (long-necked lute), numerous percussion instruments and voice with the Taipei Chinese Orchestra in the Taiwanese capital. Tekbilek and the orchestra performed mystical interpretations of many songs from Sufi music. Approximately 1,000 people attended the concert. After the stage Tekbilek signed his CD for his Taiwanese fans. "Taiwanese people were so respectful and friendly," Tekbilek told Cihan News Agency reporter after the concert. "Appreciation makes you feel good." he added.
